Joseph Nakhoul
Sports Physiotherapist
Joseph has been working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy since 2013. He started his career as intern at the South Sydney Rabbitohs before taking on role as physiotherapist for South Sydney under 19s high performance unit. He is currently 5 months away from completing his masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy.
Since graduating, Joseph has been working in private practice for over 10 years where he adopts athletic rehabilitation to tailor treatment plans for those of the general and sporting population. He is the perfect partner to get you back to what you love as soon as possible!
Anjeela B K
Senior Physiotherapist
Anjeela completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University in 2022 and has been with Burwood Physio since then. Anjeela is welcoming of new patients, and is eager to support them in achieving their goals, whether it be overcoming an injury or working towards a greater well-being. She values patient centred care and believes in leading with evidence based practice.
She has experience working closely with orthopaedic doctors and patients at private hospitals for pre-and post surgical rehabilitation, along with hand therapists for conditions involving elbow, wrist and hand injuries.Anjeela has a keen interest in Women’s Health and pelvic health physiotherapy and has received training from Taryan Hallam during her undergraduate degree. She will be continuing her professional development to further in enhance her knowledge and experience in this field.
During her spare time, Anjeela loves to stay active and explore hiking trails. She is an advocate for physical activity and believes a balanced lifestyle for a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Katie Lee
Physiotherapist
Katie completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney and decided to join the Burwood physio team since then. Prior to that, she also completed a Bachelor of Health Science degree in 2018.
Katie enjoys walking alongside with her patients in their recovery journey and is dedicated to assisting them in achieving their goals. Katie is particularly interested in shoulder and hand injuries.
Katie loves being being outdoor and enjoys exploring new running routes in Sydney. She believes it is important to maintain a good healthy lifestyle.
Bruce Qiu
Physiotherapist
Bruce has been shadowing Joseph for 2 years while he was a student from the University of Sydney. After completing his Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), he decided to formally join the Burwood Physio team as a physiotherapist. Bruce is determined to contribute to providing healthcare to the community, and assist his clients to achieve their goals using evidence based practice. Bruce has a passion in helping people achieve their goals. He is focused on getting you back to your best. In his spare time, Bruce is trying to keep up with his team during their Bay Runs.
Phoebe Tao
Exercise Physiologist
Phoebe graduated at the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) (Honours). Her experience includes working with disability and mental health clients. Phoebe is keen to help people recover through exercise and get back on their feet, doing what they enjoy and getting them back to their fullest capacity. In her free time, Phoebe enjoys doing Pilates, trying different food, otherwise she may be watching Korean dramas. She is excited to be part of the Burwood physio family!
